Stimulus helps research: Millions sent to Tennessee Health Science Center, St. Jude, U of M

Big wins this year from American Reinvestment and Recovery Act funds have kept local medical research moving forward in an economy that could have stifled it.

The University of Tennessee Health Science Center, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the University of Memphis have all been awarded millions of dollars for various programs through the National Institutes of Health.
